By booking a flight with us you agree to your details being passed to security agencies who may conduct approved random searches against the details provided.

Location

HeliAMS operates flights from Amsterdam Heliport, Hornweg 24, 1045 AR Amsterdam in The Netherlands. Travel directions to the departure location can be found on the website and will be sent by email after booking.

Arrival and timing

All departure times are approximate and may vary either way on the day of the flight due to volume of air traffic or other operational reasons.

You must arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled flight time at the departure location.

Cancellation

We reserve the right to cancel or alter the schedule of any flight due to; Air Traffic Control restrictions, low demand, poor weather conditions, technical reasons or pilot illness. We will, of course, endeavour to give you as much notice as possible. If we need to amend your flight, we will try to contact you using the email address and mobile telephone number you gave at the time of your booking. In these circumstances, we will offer to reschedule your booking or to give you a full refund.

The Weather

HeliAMS flights are dependent on favourable weather conditions.

If your flight is cancelled due to the weather, we will notify you at the contact details you provided on purchase.

You will be able to re-schedule and your flight will be put on hold for 90 days whilst you decide on an alternative date.

Your re-scheduled flight will remain subject to weather conditions.

If your on-hold booking is not re-scheduled by 1 year from the original flight date, your booking will expire and you will not be entitled to a re-schedule or refund.

The Pilots decision on the suitability of the weather is made from the aviation forecast on the morning of the flight. The actual weather may not follow the forecast, but the Pilots decision, based on the forecast, is final.

Refuse permission to board

We reserve the right to refuse any passenger permission to board the aircraft for any of the following reasons:

  • late arrival at our terminal, see “late arrivals”
  • failure to provide suitable photo ID
  • intoxication (being drunk or under the influence of drugs)
  • threatening or abusive behavior towards our staff or any other passenger
  • any other behavior that may compromise the safety of any passengers on-board

If you are refused access to the flight, you will not be entitled to a refund.

Late arrivals

We are required by law to provide a full safety brief before boarding. The safety briefing for the whole group will start 30 minutes before your scheduled flight time. If you fail to arrive in time for the safety briefing, we reserve the right to refuse you permission to board the flight. In these circumstances, refunds are not given.

Flight route

There is no predetermined route. We try to provide the best tour possible with views of Amsterdam, its Canal Belt and other famous landmarks from above. We do not actually fly above Amsterdam. Air Traffic Control restrictions prevent us from flying above (the city centre of) Amsterdam.

Flight duration

Flight durations indicated are approximate and are given simply as an indication of the time you will spend in the air. Flight durations can vary from time to time, depending on factors including air traffic control restrictions and boarding time.

Images

The images used to illustrate the flight(s) on offer are used as an indication only. The aircraft, the views from the helicopter and facilities and settings at each location may vary.

All other personal effects are to be left behind at the airport, heliport or landing ground, where storage arrangements are provided.

Security of all personal effects both carried on board and left on the ground remain the responsibility of the owner.

Personal liability insurance

HeliAMS flights are operated and insured under the Air Operator Certificate of the helicopter companies who carry out our flights.

Inclusivity

We welcome the participation of disabled people on our flights, though we recognize that access may present difficulties for those with disabilities.

In all cases, persons who require assistance to board the aircraft will need to be accompanied by as many fare paying group members as are required to assist. We cannot provide assistance for boarding and in the case of emergency, the carers will be required to assist with disembarkation.

Complaints

We welcome your feedback on all of our products and services. If you have a problem or complaint about your flight, please bring it to the attention of the staff as soon as possible. This will allow them to put matters right.

If your problem is not resolved on the day, please contact us, providing your unique booking reference. We will be happy to take the matter up. In general, we consider it unreasonable if you take no action on the day but then make a complaint at a later date.
